With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. – 2 Samuel 22:30
One man should not be able to advance against an entire troop or scale over a wall that is protecting a city. However, by the strength of God, David believed that he could. David had faith in the all consuming strength and power of God; this was why he was able to tear apart a lion and a bear with his bare hands. Similarly, Samson believed in the strength of God that lived in him, and he was able to advance against a troop (The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands…he went down to Ashkelon, struck down thirty of their men…-Judges 14:6,19)
There are things that the world may consider to be impossible, but brethren I assure you that with God’s help, all things are indeed possible. We ought to develop an “all things are possible with Christ” mentality so that we may be infused with the power of God to do the impossible. God has a well spring of strength and power that he makes available to us by faith, but we have to take the initiative to believe and ask for it. We have to take the initiative to say to situations and enemies in the face, ‘I am strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.’ We have to take the initiative as David did, and in faith, boldly say, ‘with your help God, I can do all things.’
What is it that you believe God for today? What are your dreams and desires the may seem impossible to accomplish? What has the world told you that you cannot do? I dare you to believe God for it today. I dare you to have faith that you do not have to be strong in your might, but be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power, and by God, I assure you that even you can advance against a troop and scale a wall. Just believe!
Stay blessed and spread the word.
