|For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. ĖHabakkuk 2:3|
The above verse was Godís response to Habakkukís second complaint because he just asked God about why He hadnít dealt with the Babylonianís for their sinful nature. Often times, we complain to God about different things and when He doesnít respond, we keep complaining, and the above verse is usually His response.
What happened to faith? What happened to trusting in Godís promise that if we ask according to His will, he will provide for our needs?
I have been in Habakkukís position many a times, and its not that I donít trust God, I just canít help the doubting mind of my human nature sometimes. I was actually in a similar situation very recently, and I didnít know how to get out of it. I wanted something that I was almost sure was in Godís will for my life, but it didnít seem like I was going to get it. I decided to take matters into my own hands, but that deemed unsuccessful because nothing seemed to happen. I started to pray about it, and this morning, I told God that I wanted to hear from him and that was when the above verse was revealed to me.
Though it lingers, it will certainly come and will not delay. What is it that you are looking up to God for today? What is it that you have been praying for? Is your faith still strong? If not, meditate on these words ďthough it lingers, it will certainly come and will not delay.Ē Believe that the job you are seeking for will come in Godís time, believe that the husband/wife you are praying is on his/her way, believe that your breakthrough is coming. Keep holding on and donít let your faith die! GODíS FAITHFULNESS IS ALWAYS TRUE, shouldnít your be the same?
Stay blessed and spread the word.
