YOU DECIDE!
“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” –Luke 12:48

What have you been given, what have you been entrusted with? What have you done with them? Many people overlook this very important verse a lot. Many think that this was just a parable, but in fact we are all held to this verse.

What gifts have you been given? What knowledge have you been given? What passions have you been given? When the creator returns, he is going to ask how you have used that which he entrusted you with to glorify him. How have you used your gifts to bless others? Have you shared your food with the hungry? Have you provided the homeless with shelter? Have you clothed the naked? How have you used all the knowledge you have gained from the Bible? Have you ministered to lost souls? Have you used it to bind up the broken-hearted? Have you used it to speak life into people and situations? Have you stirred up the passion that God placed in your heart? Or have you let the flame fizzle out?

What about the talents you have been entrusted with? Each person in the kingdom is given a certain number of gifts and opportunities TO SERVE GOD. We can either waste those opportunities or invest them in a way that furthers the kingdom. What choice have you made? Does you talent glorify God or have you chosen to glorify yourself and the world with it?

Be assured that the master will soon return to settle accounts with all of us. If you have used your gifts and talents to grow the kingdom of God, the master will say to you; “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” If on the other hand, you have chosen to ‘waste’ those gifts and talents, the master will say to you, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? You should have grown my kingdom so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents’- paraphrased from Matthew 25:14-30

“For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.” –Matthew 25:29

You are accountable for everything you have been blessed with. Please use your gifts and talents wisely, that is, use them to glorify God and to further His kingdom, so that when the master comes, he will be pleased with you. Do not take this lightly! It could make the difference of where you spend eternity. YOU DECIDE!

Stay blessed and spread the word.
