In order to live victorious lives in Christ, we have to actually be in Christ. We have to know and acknowledge the fact that we are nothing without Him. He died for us on the cross, and we were raised up with Him so that only in Him do we have life and have it more abundantly.
After we have found out who we are in God, it is important for us to know that we are no longer the same people we were before we allowed God to come into us. We have to realize and have faith in the power that lives within us. We have to do more than just pretend to believe that we can move mountains and make things happen in our lives. Jesus has assured us in Matthew 21:21-22 that, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” We can’t just say we want to feel victorious; we have to get our victory out of the realm of fickle emotions and begin to believe and count on the truth of God’s words.
Lastly, we have to yield! We have to cooperate with God in every aspect of our lives, especially where sin is concerned. When we know who we are in Christ and acknowledge the power we have in Him, we can truly have victory over sin and unrighteousness. When we learn to yield our lives to Christ, we can stare our situations in the face and say “MOVE MOUNTAIN! Get thee behind me Satan! I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus! I will overcome! I am healed! I am blessed! I am delivered!
