My brother called me last night and told me that I had to listen to a great worship song that he stumbled upon. The song is called “I will run to You” by Freddie Rodriguez.” As I listened to the song, I literally froze in my chair; it was one of those moments where I felt completely undone by God’s love and pursuit.

Only Your love has captured my heart,
I hear You calling,

Run to You oh God,
Where else can I go?
Forever I will run.
Do you hear the voice of the Lord? Do you hear Him calling you to come to Him? After listening to the song ten times, I began to search Scripture for verses where Jesus invited people to come and there were quite a lot of them. In Matthew 11:28, He invited all the weary and burdened to come to Him to find rest. In John 4, He invited the thirsty to come and drink of the Living Water that completely satisfies. Throughout the gospels, we read that He invited the sick to come to Him for healing, He invited the broken to come to Him for restoration, He invited the heartbroken to come to Him for comfort, and one of my personal favorites, when Peter and the other disciples saw Him walking on water and became afraid, He invited Peter to come to Him walking on water! Do you hear Love’s voice beckoning you to come? What is He calling you to come to Him for today?
I am certain that we all have different needs in our lives at this moment, but I urge you to hear the voice of the Lord calling you to come to Him. Will you run to Him? As I listened to the song, I wondered why it was so much easier for me to run to everything else but God, and I realized that it was because I trusted everything else more than I trusted Him. With this realization, I was undone! All I could muster up in that moment were the desperate words of the man with a sick child in Mark 9:24, “I do believe; Lord please help me overcome my unbelief!”
“Jesus loves you!” Those were the words of a very special friend to me a few days ago, and I echo them back to you all today. JESUS LOVES YOU! Believe it! Trust it! Let it wash over you today. Jesus loves you, and He calls out to you Come! Come! Come to my love! I dare you to run to Him! Run to Him in prayer! Run to Him in worship! Run to Him because you trust that He loves you! Just run! Run to Him!
