I was reading in Luke 18 about the parable of the unjust judge and the persistent widow. This widow wanted justice to be served against her opponent, but the judge really didn’t care, so he refused. The widow was very persistent and she kept on bothering him until he agreed to do it. He neither had the fear of God in him nor respected anyone, but he said that he would grant the widow justice so that she stopped bothering him.
God wants us to be like the persistent widow. He wants us, his chosen ones, to come to him and be persistent. Many people pray about something for about a week and then think that God has turned a deaf ear to their prayers because they haven’t received what they prayed for. God is telling us to come to him day and night. He wants us to come to him with faith in prayer and supplication!!! Whatever chance you get, talk to him and keep bothering him till he grants you what you want. If your request is not his will, then he will tell you and you will know. It may take hours, days, weeks, or even years, but this Christian walk is all about persistence, patience, and faith.
So brethren, whatever it is that you want, God is telling you to bug him. He is telling you to call him at 3am in the morning, at 6am, at 9am, at 12pm, etc. When you bug him this much, don’t you think he will answer you?
“And will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long in answering them? I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” –Luke 18:7-8
Stay blessed and spread the word.
