God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.~Hebrews 11:40
God has our entire lives mapped out for us, and all we have to do is walk in his will for our lives, and it’ll be all great. Often times, we get so caught up in what we want for our lives, that we step out of God’s will and start doing what we want. We can relate this to every aspect of our lives; relationships, school, a major, a job, etc. Brethren, we cannot accomplish anything without God’s presence in the equation. We can’t step out from under his umbrella and expect everything to go the way he wants it to go.
Are you in a relationship that you spend more time trying to fix than actually having a relationship? Are you in a school that you always loved, but you are just not happy there? Are you at a job that you have to force yourself to go to everyday? Did you settle for an easy major because you thought you couldn’t handle what you heart is telling you to do? Are you sure that what you are doing is in line with God’s will for you life? God is telling you in Hebrews 11:40 that he has planned something better for us. Why would you want to settle for something good when together with God you can have something perfect?
Proverbs 16:3 says “commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” Give your dreams and heart desires to God before you live them, make sure they match up with God’s will before you do anything. I cannot emphasize enough how big of a deal it is for us to not only talk to God, but to listen to him. He wants us to live a perfect life together with him. He said that he has prepared the way for you and I and all we have to do is to take a hold of his hand and walk in it.
Don’t settle for okay, when you can have perfect. Don’t settle for a partner that would stand by you for a few years, when you can have one for the rest of your life. Don’t settle for a job that you like, when you can have one that you love. Don’t settle for an easy major when you can have one that challenges you, and you will find true joy in the challenge. Don’t settle for your good, when you can have God’s great!!!
Stay blessed and spread the word.
