|I was reading a book about Paul, the apostle, and I thought to myself, why did God love him so much? Paul was the furthest thing from perfect before he found Christ, but after he did, he was a completely different person. He dedicated his entire life to the ministry of God. He didnít care what anybody thought about him, he didnít care how many times he was persecuted, he didnít care how many times he was imprisoned, and he didnít even care how many times he was almost killed. In fact, he used all of these experiences to grow his ministry. .
How many of you can say the same thing about your lives?
God is looking for people that will serve him like Paul did. He is searching for people that donít care about what the world thinks or does. Christians need to stop being people pleasers. He is seeking people that are willing to celebrate His goodness before the world and become even more undignified and humiliated for His name sake. We sometimes esteem other peopleís opinions over that of God, and that is really depressing. I am very guilty of this myself. As a case in point, I was never satisfied with Hindís Feet Ministry until I got opinions about it from people. Even if I felt God telling me that everything was all right, it still wasnít enough. If I got a negative response from just one person, I was willing to change anything to impress that person.
ISAIAH 51:12, 16 ďI, even I am He who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings, who are but grass, that you forget the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundation of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction?
So brethren, I leave you with these questions, what are your priorities? Who are you serving? To whom do you hold yourselves accountable? Whose opinions do you esteem when it comes your ministries here on earth? Look ahead, whom are you following?
Think about your answer very carefully, and when you do come up with a person, I hope the answer is GOD, if it isnít; you need to make some changes ASAP! You should never esteem anyone more than you do God, and if it is him that you are serving and following, his opinions should be the ones that matter the most to you. If for any reason, this is not the case for you, some serious soul searching is in order. Use Paul as an example. He was truly a God-pleaser. What is stopping you from being one as well?
Stay blessed and spread the word.
